How our price guide works
Our price guide sets out typical Irish supply-and-lay driveway ranges (€55 to €80/m² for a 40mm SMA resurfacing overlay, €75 to €115/m² for a full excavation with Clause 804 stone sub-base, 60mm binder course and 40mm SMA surface course, and €25 to €45/m² for rural tar-and-chip surface dressing), including 13.5% construction VAT. Your exact price is confirmed in writing by the contractor after a site survey.
County housing and rainfall data
County household, detached home and one-off house figures come from CSO Census 2022 (tables F2007A, F1010, F1015) and CSO New Dwelling Completions (table NDQ06). Town rainfall figures are our 3 km grid calculations from Met Éireann's 1991–2020 30-year climate averages.
